Dezeen Watch Store launch

Tuesday 17 August 2010

Online architecture and design magazine Dezeen has expanded into retail, and will launch its online watch store during the London Design Festival this September.

Dezeen Watch Store will also run two pop-up shops during LDF: one in Italian design company Skitsch’s London showroom and the other at East London design outpost The Tramshed.

Dezeen editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs said of the venture: “Stories about watches are among the most popular on dezeen, yet the watches we write about are hard to find. The founding principle behind our first ever retail venture was therefore to meet this explosion in interest and provide design aficionados with eye-catching watches by some of the world’s coolest designers.”

Skitsch will also host a specially-designed window display by Harry Allen, and a pop-up Lavazza espresso bar, for the duration of the Festival.
