Forfars bakery, Sussex by Josh Bitelli

To celebrate the 75th birthday of Sussex-based bakery Forfars, graduate designer Josh Bitelli cast ceramic trophies using a mould made of bread, then burnt away the pieces using a blowtorch to reveal the finished piece.



With the project, Bitelli aims to show how it is possible to "hack" the most industrialised of processes, in order to bend the system and create artisanal products.



Bitelli's other projects include vessels made from asphalt and line paint usually used for road building, hand-blown shotglasses made from simple wax models, and steel tableware made from welding rod.
