Belgian interior designer Filip Deslee recently launched a compact bathroom unit including all the essentials and available in 100 RAL colours. The designer has fitted a sink, several drawers, electric sockets and light switches within this self-sufficient product, making it an ideal choice for those with limited space or a taste for minimalism.

All electrical elements were conceived by Niko Mysterious, a company specializing in flat, embedded, invisible electrics. The system used for the FD1 makes it possible to permanently leave a razor or electric toothbrush on charge inside the drawers, or occasionally plug a hair dryer in. The light switches can be connected to a light inside a wall mirror or above the sink, and because they are positioned on the side, the drawers can be left open while in use.

The unit can be installed as an island in the centre of the room or against a wall, which allows for hundreds of different layouts, depending on the architecture of the space.
